Snoop has finally dropped the release date for “Missionary”, his new album produced by Dr. Dre and full of star guest appearances.
The wait is over: Snoop Dogg has officially announced that “Missionary”, his much-anticipated album produced entirely by Dr. Dre, will be released on December 13, 2024. Billed as a sequel to his 1993 debut album “Doggystyle”, “Missionary” marks Snoop’s first full-length collaboration with Dre since the iconic record that put them on the map. This announcement has been long-awaited by fans, who were first teased with the project back in 2022 when Snoop hinted it would serve as a 30th-anniversary homage to “Doggystyle”.
Snoop took to social media to share a cheeky promotional video for the album’s release date, featuring two “missionaries” who find themselves hilariously confused by a lingerie-clad woman answering the door and misunderstanding their mission. The album promises guest features from Sting, Jelly Roll, and hip hop legends like 50 Cent, Method Man, and even a rumoured appearance by Eminem.
With Dre reportedly wrapping up the mixing process, “Missionary” is set to give fans the classic Snoop and Dre chemistry they have been missing, alongside some unexpected collaborations sure to make this release one of the year’s biggest moments in hip hop.
