In a short conversation with DJ WhooKid, Snoop Dogg explained why he had never been and will never be beefing with Fifty, and commented on the AI-generated image that sparked rumours of a new Up in Smoke tour.
Even a short interview gave Snoop enough time to plug his son’s crypto company, Gin&Juice collab with Dr. Dre, the Olympics, and new projects with Universal Pictures. However, those were not the topics that WhooKid’s team decided to highlight in the video title. However brief the mentions were, let’s turn to the topics most attractive for the audience.
Convo in the studio
The topic of AI came up, and DJ Whoo Kid reminded Snoop about the image he posted on his social media accounts. The picture showed Eminem, 50 Cent, and Snoop lounging in a beach shack wrapped in a tropical night, playing chess, of all things. It looked as fake as your average AI-generated picture. Still, the pull to believe was so strong that the rumour about the Up in Smoke reincarnation tour started. In fact, the internet is full of fake announcements about Eminem’s tour. Every day, people see this bullshit and still click the like button. So, being posted on Snoop’s account, these pictures had more credibility in the public eye, for no good reason.
Now, prompted by WhooKid’s question, Snoop explains “that ain’t no tour. That shit isn’t real. If it was real, you would hear us physically saying something”.
Meanwhile, Snoop keeps generating pictures with Eminem and Fifty so often that it feels like he wants this tour just as badly as everyone else on the face of the earth.
Snoop also mentioned that he has never been beefing with Fifty because there is too much respect between them to “even go in that bag of disrespect”.
Snoops new project
All these attention-capturing headlines serve the main purpose: to promote Snoop’s new project. Snoop Dogg releases a new album and a heist movie, Ten Til Midnight. The album is out on April 10; the distribution strategy for the movie seems to be still developing. However, the premiere went well.
It might not be what so many people were hoping for. Still, Snoop knows how to keep his audience entertained. And seeing another hip hop legend build his own media empire is satisfying.
