Skylar opened her rejects folder for listeners and showed unreleased songs she wrote for other artists and shows over recent years.
She opened the party with a short introduction:
Today I’m going to play y’all some songs. I have a huge folder of songs that I’ve written over the past [years]. This folder is probably five years old or something. So I’m gonna dig through some of the stuff and play you some things that I’ve written for other people or for movies that have been rejected. These are probably songs that I wouldn’t put out myself but I’ve spent a lot of time on and a lot of energy on and now they are just sitting in the folder, going nowhere, being abandoned and it’s very sad. So I’m gonna show them to you.
Skylar started with a song she wrote for “Trolls” movie then went to a song she worked on with Diplo for Rihanna. The latter was basically a phone recording of their studio session because Skylar has never got a proper record back. No need to say, that all these songs are melodically stunning and show an immense variety of Skylar’s talent.
