Shady/Interscope Wanted Ed Sheeran on Yelawolf’s Love Story

Yelawolf sat down with Hip Hop DX for a 40 minute interview talking about his career highlights.

During the interview Yela spoke about being with a major record label and the amount of people you have to deal with from producers to writers etc. Asked how Love Story came about he replied “You wouldn’t believe the suggestions they gave us, They wanted Ed Sheeran to sing the hook for American You. I’m like dude its American You he’s British and they were like nah man you did that EP with him he owes you that favour”. Yela replied “Ed doesn’t owe me nothing”.
