Eminem Talks About Being Nervous for Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show and Praises Kendrick Lamar

In his first new interview in what feels like forever, Eminem talked to Sway Calloway about the upcoming groundbreaking Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show put together by Dr. Dre, and many more other things.

The full interview is yet to be released, but Sway has already shared short sneak-peaks. There, Em is talking about being blown away by the grandiosity of Dr. Dre’s vision for their performance:

When Dre first asked, when the whole thing started going down and we were like, okay, this might be actually serious, I was trying to envision what Dre might do. I was thinking, like, yeah, that’s dope, all of us are gonna rap together and that kind of thing. But I didn’t expect the production to be like this.

At the same time, the very magnitude of the event makes all participants feel the pressure even more. Em is not shy to admit that he is nervous about his upcoming performance that is going to be broadcast to tens of millions of viewers around the world:

It’s fucking nerve-wracking. To me, there is nothing more final than live TV. If you fuck up, your fuck up is there forever.

The show has the most star-studded line-up ever, and Eminem can spare a word of appreciation to any and each of the artists with whom he is going to share the stage this Sunday. Marshall paid high respect to the youngest one on the bill:

Kendrick Lamar is at the very top tier of lyricists, not just this generation but all time.
