Redman has returned with a new instalment of his “J@Q BOI BE@TZ” series, and this one goes straight to the heart of Detroit rap history.
The veteran MC jumped on Eminem’s 1998 beat “Just Don’t Give a Fuck”, produced by the Bass Brothers, Denaun, and Em himself.
The video even places Redman in Japan, delivering solid bars over one of Slim Shady’s earliest, most unhinged instrumentals.
A Salute to Detroit
Right from the opening lines, Redman shows love to Detroit’s pillars:
Big up to the Detroit niggaz
D12, Eminem, Royce Da 5’9, Trick Trick…
This goes out to Proof, babe!
It’s a nod that lands with weight, paying respect to legends whether they are still with us or rest in power.
Redman also weaves in Eminem’s original hook, flipping it into something sharp, playful, and unmistakably Reggie Noble.
Meanwhile, he shared the clip on X with a direct message: “Yo @eminem You been JAQED!!”

A Mutual Respect Spanning Decades
Their connection goes way back. Eminem famously named Redman among his all-time favourites on ’Till I Collapse. The placement became one of hip hop’s most repeated “top fives,” and it’s still influential today. Recently, it inspired Erick Sermon to shape his dream Eminem posse cut.

Redman has long returned the admiration. Over the years, he has publicly and creatively praised Eminem’s craft. They linked up on “Off the Wall” for The Nutty Professor II soundtrack, a moment that showed fans how potent their chemistry can be.
Could They Team Up Again?
Rumours around Eminem’s next album are picking up again, and fans are watching for familiar names. Redman has never hidden the fact that he’d jump back in a studio with Marshall at a moment’s notice.
And as more rappers revisit classic eras, the timing feels right for a reunion. Whether it happens remains to be seen, but the energy around this new freestyle has definitely widened the speculation.
