Trisha Patay was cast for 2009’s video “We Made You” and she still treasures good memories of working with him. She rates Eminem 100 out of 10.
The actress, model, podcast host and media personality with over 5 million following shared a story on her TikTok with a still from “We Made You” as a background:
This is another nicest celebrity. This is Eminem’s video “We Made You”. I was 20-years-old and I was cast as “fat Jessica Simpson”. On the set, Eminem was very fun, and all over the place and loud. He was a great ball of energy. But once it turned off, behind the scenes, he was like, “Hi, I’m Marshall, Thanks for doing this”.
Trisha remembers how director Joseph Kahn was rather harsh on her and once gave Eminem directions to “play with her blabber” to emphasise her size and laughed. Mind you that for Trisha who advocates for the plus-size community and has seen her fair share of fat-shaming, this topic might not be easy to discuss. But she does not have a single bad word to say about Eminem in this conversation. On the contrary, he offered her support and encouragement.
I remember Marshall, Eminem being like, “Oh my god, you look better than real Jessica [Simpson]. you look great, don’t be self-conscious!”. I don’t know what I said, I was 20-years-old. And he was insanely nice. 100 out of 10.
