In 2020 Eminem’s “Godzilla” feat. Juice WRLD was nominated for MTV VMAs in two categories but did not come first in any of them.

The Weeknd won Video of the Year for “Blinding Lights” and Megan thee Stallion took home Best Hip-Hop award for “Savage” that does not have a music video at all.

It is certainly a disappointment for every Eminem’s fan and for those fans of Juice WRLD who wanted the first ever VMAs nomination for their favourite to become his first win. However, we know that it would be unlikely for Eminem to show up at the ceremony in any case, so we did not miss much in terms of his performance. We know that we can expect more, as Eminem does not stop evolving, growing and releasing records that reflect his maturing craft and the everchanging world around us.
