Hip hop legends LL Cool J and Eminem have joined forces for a music video for their new track titled “Murdergram Deux”.
As LL said before, the duo recorded the track live in Dr. Dre’s studio in LA. It was released last week as another single from LL Cool J’s highly anticipated album “The FORCE”. It is a sequel to “Murdergram”, the rapid-fire track from LL’s classic 1990 album “Mama Said Knock You Out”. Produced by Q-Tip, “Murdergram Deux” features the two rappers trading bars over a fast-paced beat.
LL Cool J recently confirmed that a music video is on the way, saying:
I just filmed a video of me and Eminem for “Murdergram Deux”, which is “Murdergram” part two. There’s a mural in it that says “Death to the ego”. Because it’s not about money, it’s not about a business success. It’s about rhyming, skills, bars, beats.
Continuing, LL emphasized the purity of their collaboration:
It’s pure hip hop. Pure hip hop, and Em is a fan of pure hip hop, as am I. So, us working together on that record, it was dope… The mural is amazing, and I think the video was a lot of fun. You know, hip hop, baby!
The collaboration between these two iconic rappers excited fans of hip hop music everywhere. It was a truly uplifting and refreshing experience to see two giants going head to head in a fierce rap battle where the main winner was hip hop itself. So, now we all are on the lookout for the music video for “Murdergram Deux”. And, of course, for LL Cool J’s new album “The FORCE” set for release this this week.
