Eminem in New Interview on Shade 45: Working on Something New, the Victories of His Favourite Lions Team and Ben Johnson Diss-Warning

Eminem’s discography is experiencing a massive resurgence, completely dominating the Hip-Hop/Rap iTunes charts in both the US and the UK.

In the US, “Curtain Call: The Hits” has become the biggest climber, moving 24 places up and landing at No.33 on the US Albums Current Top 100. Meanwhile, the Top 40 Hip Hop/Rap Albums chart sees a complete Shady takeover. Eminem occupies a whopping Top 5 spots in the Top 10, with classics like The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show leading the charge. Even Kamikaze, a more recent release, finds itself comfortably nestled in the Top 5. “Curtain Call 2” cracks the Top 10, neatly closing what Em’s other albums have started.

The takeover continues across the pond. Eminem boasts eight albums in the Top 10 of the UK Hip-Hop & Rap Albums chart, with The Marshall Mathers LP leading the pack. All of them just re-entered the chart.
Both the original and deluxe versions of “Curtain Call: The Hits” and “The Marshall Mathers LP” make strong showings in the UK Top 10. Alongside the certified classic, “Kamikaze” finds a place in the UK Top 10 as his most recent album on the chart.

Here is clear evidence of how Em’s recent single, “Houdini”, impacted his whole catalogue, sparking a renewed interest in listeners, old and new, to spin more of Shady’s music. Seems it is never out of fashion.
