A short interview 50 gave to promote his upcoming TV series “For life” condensed at least three highlights in the span of six minutes.
We already shared the segment about a multimillion film deal Eminem refused to take part in. Also, Fif jokingly described Eminem as a “lab rat” who finds joy in working on his music:
Even if we are not paying attention he’s recording a new record again, a new album. And he’s always been that way.
50 stayed cool and playful, even when a host started stirring the conversation towards unsavoury topics. He asked Fif about his beef with French Montana and Fif responded calmly:
I don’t really have an interest in it. That’s not much going on.
The host kept pushing and asked about their alleged altercations in Miami when rumour had it that 50 punched French Montana. Fif changed his mood to more serious:
No, there is no truth to that. Would I do a thing like that?
And a young guy had the audacity to state: “I don’t know, Fif. I wouldn’t put past you”. That was the limit to 50’s patience. He did not lose his cool but he shut down the interview, leaving the host with some sobering words:
Why would you think that way? Would you think that Will Smith would do that? I can’t believe you would say these things about me. Peace my brother. Do not allow my inner peace to disturb your inner demon.
It seems like his new approach towards negativity, which he decided to adopt in the wake of Kobe Bryant death, helps him gracefully navigate murky waters of clout chasing media.
