Eminem and GRIP 07.02.2021

Eminem signs an impressive lyricist from Atlanta to his selected few of Shady Records. GRIP’s inaugural track on the label is available now.

Described as “Atlanta’s Next Great Storyteller”, GRIP made a splash in 2017 with his debut project “Porch” and stayed consistent ever since. He dropped three more projects, was featured on the HBO’s “Euphoria” soundtrack, and finally made the Detroit lyricist invite him to the family.

To introduce the new addition to the roster, Shady Records released Grip’s debut track on the label — “Gutter”, available on all main streaming services.

The Shady records official website quotes label President Paul Rosenberg: “Grip is the type of artist that brings you into his world and expresses himself through a complete composed body of work. If true album artists in this era are a rare breed- then Grip is a unicorn! We’re excited for him to join the Shady Records family”.

GRIP adds, “It was one of those full-circle moments because I grew up on Eminem so to have him reach out and let me know how dope my shit is was so cool. Excited to partner with Shady/Interscope and get the music out on a larger platform”.

Now GRIP is getting ready to release his full-length LP on the label.
