One of the fastest rising young rap stars, GloRilla, has made her way from a homeschooled church choir girl to a TikTok sensation to signing to Irv Gotti on his private jet.

In her recent interview released on the Club Shay Shay channel, the Memphis hottest new talent chatted about her latest hit song and her journey to the limelight, and she dropped some knowledge on her rap idols.

When asked about her Mount Rushmore of rap, GloRilla acknowledged she hasn’t dived deep into the old-school scene. However, that didn’t stop her from listing some heavy hitters.

Lil Wayne got the first nod. There was a shoutout to Chief Keef, a major influence for GloRilla, but with a thoughtful pause, she curated the list for pure rap royalty:

I’m only 24 so I can’t say rappers that were before me because I don’t know their music. So, Imma say Lil Wayne. Lil Wayne is one of the best rappers in the whole world. I’m going to say Lil Wayne, Chief Keef. I’m trying to make sure this is the right lineup. My favourite or who I think is the best? ’Cause my favourite I don’t think the best. We are going the best. I’m going to say Lil Wayne, Drake, Eminem and Jay-Z.

Looks like Slim Shady is still inspiring the next generation of rap superstars.
