Spotify numbers show how global the artist is and how geographically diverse is his audience.
Of course, Spotify does not cover all countries and areas, but even with the coverage, it has you can see how far Eminem’s influence can reach.
Marshall is the 5th most followed artist on the platform, his following surpassed 42.6 million Spotify users. The number of his monthly listeners at the moment is over 39.8 million with a trend of 1.5 million. It grows steadily, boosted recently by the successful release of his latest album “Music To Be Murdered By” and its deluxe version as well as unexpected TikTok attention.
For better or for worse, Em’s audience was vast way before recent developments and top 50 cities by the number of his listeners are spread across 21 countries. Even in the Top 10 you can find cities not just from the UK, US and Australia, but also Mexico and Brazil. Basically, all European and many South American countries are represented on this list, implying that Spotify just does not cover and/or not that popular in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
