Eminem’s “Encore” just turned 20 and celebrated in style by hitting 3.5 billion streams on Spotify.

Eminem’s fifth studio album is proving that age is just a number — 20 years after its release, the album has surpassed 3.5 billion streams on Spotify. Originally dropping on November 12, 2004, the album still pulls in over 2 million daily streams, keeping it in the spotlight two decades later.

“Encore” brought fans hits like “Mockingbird” and “Like Toy Soldiers”, which remain some of Eminem’s most-loved tracks. While critics at the time were divided on the album’s second half, it did not stop it from going 5× Platinum in the US, 8× Platinum in Australia, and 4× Platinum in the U.K., among other certifications. With over 11 million copies sold worldwide, “Encore” has more than left its mark.

The album hit the 3 billion streams milestone in March 2024 and shows no signs of slowing down. From nostalgic fans reliving their favourites to new listeners discovering its hits, “Encore” is still a go-to for millions — and it is not losing steam.
