The tragic loss of DMX made many people share their love and respect for the hip hop legend. Sometimes it is too late. That’s why it is important to give rappers their roses while they are here. Like Eminem did to DMX – many times throughout the years of his music career.

Like here, in 1999, presenting DMX with the Source Award for Best Performance. Eminem was so sincerely happy to pass the Golden Mic to DMX, howling and referencing his hit “Get at Me Dog” while DMX was making his way to the stage.

Eminem later picked up his side in the beef against Ja Rule. Shady and DMX united efforts on “Go to Sleep” recorded for Obie Trice’s album “The Bar is Open”. The energy they emanate in this record is unprecedented:

In 2003 Em recorded “Bump Heads” together with Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks & 50 Cent, where they dissed Ja Rule mercilessly. Ja Rule rivalry with DMX received a special mention:

I done seen a lot of people cross the line
But this motherfucker Ja must have lost his mind
That X, got him thinkin’ he was DMX

2000. A day before the “MMLP” album was released, Eminem’d showed some respect to DMX, calling rapper’s music video for “Party up” one of his favourites.
