Legendary rapper Redman, one of Eminem’s favourites of all time, released the video to “Black Man In America”, and this is his most political record to date.

Talking about the problems that black population faces every day, Redman wanted to control his narrative, so he wrote the script and directed this video. Its success became unexpected to Redman himself. In the interview to The Source he said:

I never thought that when it hit social media I would get this type of feedback. I’m getting calls from everywhere about this record. Even Eminem hit me up and said, “the shit is banging. Even the vocals sound like the new you but the old you as well.” I didn’t know that it would have this much impact; I’m not even going to lie.

Eminem for sure knows Redman long enough to recognise his evolution. Their first collaboration “Off the Wall” was recorded in 2000 and in 2003 Eminem produced the track “I C Dead People” for Redman’s “Ill At Will Mixtape Vol. 1”.
