The British Phonogram Manufacturers Association (BPI) has assigned several silver, gold and platinum certificates to several of Eminem’s creations.
The album “Relapse”, which will soon celebrate its 10th anniversary, received the second “platinum” in Britain. This means that one of Marshall’s most underrated albums sold over 600,000 copies in the United Kingdom. Thus, “Relapse” has become the eighth album of Eminem to reach such a mark in the UK.
Now in total Eminem’s albums have 35 platinum certifications in UK and 10,6 million copies sold all over the Great Britain:
The Marshall Mathers LP — 8x Platinum
Curtain Call: The Hits — 7x Platinum
The Eminem Show — 5x Platinum
Encore — 4x Platinum
The Slim Shady LP — 3x Platinum
Recovery — 3x Platinum
The Marshall Mathers LP 2 — 2x Platinum
Relapse — 2x Platinum
Revival — Platinum
Kamikaze — Gold
Earlier the single “The Ringer” with its 200 000 copies sold got a silver status in the country. Now three more singles from the album “Kamikaze” (“Lucky You”, “Venom”, “Fall”) received silver certifications in the UK.
The singles “Cleaning’s Out My Closet”, “Shake That”, “Sing For The Moment” and “The Way I Am” received gold certifications in the UK, breaking the bar of 400,000 copies sold.
