Eminem and No Doubt score UK's latest million-selling singles

The UK’s million-selling singles list now has two new additions, Official Charts can reveal.

No Doubt’s 1997 Number 1 Don’t Speak and Eminem’s 2002 chart-topper Lose Yourself have both passed the million sales mark.

Only 163 singles have previously hit this massive milestone in the UK, making No Doubt and Eminem part of a very prestigious club.

And it’s even better news for Eminem, as Lose Yourself gives him his second million-seller. He scored his first one back in 2011 when his Rihanna collaboration Love The Way You Lie scored seven digits despite never reaching Number 1.

Eminem’s rousing Lose Yourself featured in 8 Mile, Slim Shady’s acting debut loosely based on his own life. The song won an Oscar for Best Original Song and was his fourth Number 1 in the UK.

It went straight in at Number 1 in December 2002, nudging off Daniel Bedingfield’s If You’re Not The One. Eminem’s main rival for Number 1 that week was none other than the Cheeky Girls – Lose Yourself managed to beat the seminal Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum) by 5,000 copies that first week.

Altogether, Eminem’s landed eight Number 1s from an impressive 27 Top 10s.
