On June 19, 2001, the group of Detroit misfits released their debut album on Shady Records.

Kuniva, Swifty McVay, Bizarre, Kon Artis, Proof and Eminem – they made a pact that whoever comes to success first helps others out. Years later, the international rap sensation Eminem brought his friends together to release an album on his own record label.

Formed in 1996, the Dirty Dozen officially debuted with “Devil’s Night” in 2001 and found incredible success and international popularity. For instance, their “Devil’s Night” single “Purple Pills” was charting higher in the UK than in the US (No.2 on the Official UK Charts against No.19 on the Billboard Hot 100)

“Devil’s Night” debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with approximately 371,881 copies sold during the first week of release. It stayed on the charts for 22 weeks and eventually was certified 2xPlatinum in the US. The album’s certifications vary from 3xPlatinum in Canada to Platinum in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, to Gold in France and Germany.

Yesterday, Shady Records released the extended “Devils Night” edition, adding new instrumentals and “Whether or Not” freestyle that until this moment could only be found on some CD versions of the single “Fight Music”.
