The New York legend picked up younger rappers that inspire him recently and included a Slaughterhouse MC on the list.

The question came up during his recent appearance on Nevuary Rap Radio, and it is evident that Busta Rhymes follows modern trends even if he does not dive deep into underground.

Busta started with names that are hardly new already but certainly belong to the younger generation comparing to him: “My new artists, my new MC that motivates me a lot. My No.1 is Kendrick Lamar. My No.2 is J. Cole”.

The rap veteran then proceeded naming Roc Marciano, Stove God Cooks, Lil Baby and Royce da 5’9. When he got to Royce Busta made a special remark: This is no particular order. Who’s coming to mind I’m just saying.

After that Busta decided to add four more names to put together a solid Top 10. He completed the list with Dave East, Roddy Ricch, Drake and Pop Smoke.
