Olaf Scholz might not be dropping bars anytime soon, but if he had to pick a beat, he would go with Eminem. During a recent interview with local German radio station bigFM, Scholz faced a round of playful AI-generated questions, including one about his hypothetical role as “Bundesbeatkanzler” (Germany’s Beat Chancellor). After a brief pause, he gave a nod to the Rap God himself, saying, “If it’s about the beat, I’d probably pick Eminem”.
While Scholz was not asked to freestyle, the moment added a surprising hip hop twist to the conversation, which also touched on politics, Germany’s economy, and even an imaginary political party called Olaf & Friends. The Chancellor also confirmed that if he were throwing a party, the far-right AfD would not be on the guest list.
Looks like Eminem made the biggest impression of the day — at least when it came to beats.
