A new chart of the Biggest Album Debuts in Billboard 200 history is making rounds online.
A new visual board from PopCore ranking the Biggest Album Debuts in Billboard 200 history is getting a lot of attention online. It clearly shows Taylor Swift’s unmatched selling power, the lasting dominance of early 2000s pop, and one remarkable exception — Eminem, the only rapper and the only solo male artist in the Top 10.
Pop Titans and One Rap Icon
At a glance, the list celebrates the commercial strength of pop. Yet, Eminem’s presence reminds everyone how massive his impact has been across genres. His albums still stand among the best-selling of all time.
Here’s how the Top 10 looks:
1. The Life of a Showgirl – Taylor Swift – 4M
2. 25 – Adele – 3.48M
3. The Tortured Poets Department – Taylor Swift – 2.61M
4. No Strings Attached – NSYNC – 2.42M
5. Celebrity – NSYNC – 1.88M
6. The Marshall Mathers LP – Eminem – 1.76M
7. 1989 (Taylor’s Version) – Taylor Swift – 1.65M
8. Black & Blue – Backstreet Boys – 1.59M
9. Midnights – Taylor Swift – 1.58M
10. The Eminem Show – Eminem – 1.32M
Another familiar face appears further down the list, accompanied by another classic. 50 Cent’s “Get Rich or Die Tryin’” takes the 15th spot, debuting with 1.14 million units. That places it ahead of the Backstreet Boys’ “Millennium” (1.13M) and just behind Taylor Swift’s “Red” (1.2M).
50 Cent’s Reaction
Naturally, Fifty could not resist reacting to this ranking. Instead of bragging about his own numbers, he took the opportunity to tease his friend. Sharing the chart, he wrote:
“When I hear shit like this, I just shake my head 🤦♂️ who wants to go behind this kinda shit. This is not alright I’m a call EM and tell him, I’m gonna be the only friend he has if keeps this shit up! WTF”.
It is a funny jab at the idea of “lonely at the top”. Nevertheless, Eminem does not seem lonely at all. Artists who admire him respect both his skill and his discipline. Moreover, his consistency has kept him at the top while he continues to prioritise family and personal integrity.
Above all, as Fif proves once again, Eminem’s circle still includes fiercely loyal friends, ready to celebrate his wins, and to pull his leg when an opportunity comes up.
