Dre’s first release since the GTA EP features stunning vocals from Marsha Ambrosius against the luscious sound backdrop built by a master.
English singer and songwriter Marsha Ambrosius found fame as a member of a genre-defying duo Floetry, working between spoken word and R&B, merging intricate poetry and rich vocals. She released her solo debut in 2011.
The reports of her working together with Dr. Dre came back in 2021. In December of that year, Dr Dre announced that he had finished working on their album, “Casablanca”.
In summer 2022, on the 30th anniversary of “The Chronic”, they both held an exclusive listening party for their project, but that was not it. There was no release date, and no new info was announced.
Finally, the first single is officially out. “The Greatest” was premiered ahead of Marsha’s US tour. The hope is still alive that the album will see the light of the date occasionally.
