Inspired by Eminem’s legendary album covers, a sneaker designer has created a collection that transforms the rapper’s discography into kicks every fan will want to wear.
Eminem has not just left his mark on the music industry — he has also ventured into sneaker culture through collaborations with Nike Jordan Brand, creating some of the most exclusive pairs out there. This year, fans see an unauthorised but impressive line of concept sneakers from designer Ng Poh Hian, known as Bob of @nobrainer.psd. Bob took inspiration from Eminem’s album covers and transformed them into eye-catching designs that any fan would be excited to lace up.
The “Marshall Mathers LP” Air Jordan 1? A moody black-and-grey look that perfectly captures the vibe of Eminem’s groundbreaking third album. Then there’s “The Eminem Show” Air Jordan 4, which brings out the energy of the record with a bold red, black, and beige colour scheme. For “8 Mile” fans, Bob crafted a green, black, and orange AJ4 that channels the film’s raw aesthetic. And the “Encore” Nike Dunk Low, in maroon and blue, is a throwback to a defining period in Em’s career.
Bob’s concepts did not stop there. He imagined a “fighter jet”-inspired Nike Dunk Low to capture the power of “Kamikaze”.
Eminem’s recent decision to “retire” Slim Shady inspired one of the standout sneakers in the collection: The Death of Slim Shady Air Jordan 1. This design features bold graffiti-style elements and electric pops of colour against a deep black backdrop, capturing the chaotic, rebellious energy of the Slim Shady persona. With each detail, from the jagged lines to the vivid colours, the sneaker feels like a fitting send-off for one of hip hop’s most unforgettable characters.
A bonus design: a “Rap Boy” Dunk SB that comes in bright red and green with comic book-style accents.
So, which of these iconic sneakers would you rock? Let us know in the comments.
