Taylor Swift Caught Up with Eminem by Albums Number Debuting with 500,000 or More Mopies Sold in Their First Week

Taylor Swift’s new Lover project finished its debut week on the 1st position of the Billboard 200 with 867,000 units sold (679,000 for pure sales).

Thus, Taylor Swift becomes the first female artist to have 6 different albums sold over 500,000 or more copies in the first week.

The only similar record among men was set by Eminem. Six of his studio albums also debuted on 1st position of the Billboard 200 with more than 500,000 sold units each one (The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show, Encore, Relapse, Recovery and The Marshall Mathers LP2)
