An unlikely duo hit Twitch recently and chose Eminem’s hit as their karaoke favourite.
Last week, T-Pain invited Lizzo to join his stream, and the channel promised followers it would show “every minute of the chaos”. However, some of the chaos is carefully planned, and karaoke is an obligatory part of every guest appearance.
So, Lizzo chose “Lose Yourself”. She rapped the verses while T-Pain took on the hype-man role. They switched for the hook, and Lizzo added vocal runs to support T-Pain’s rapping.
Both artists framed their number not just as an ultimate karaoke choice but as a tribute to the whole city of Detroit. And of course, it was a testament to Eminem’s influence. It was also an homage to his skills. Two experienced performers had to struggle a bit with the tempo and breath control, reminding viewers how technically complex Em’s music is. And how effortlessly he delivers it every time he takes the stage.
