Haile says this year’s football season is different, with Elliot getting older and more active. However, he already shows interest in the game and the team, which the whole family supports so passionately.
Hailie, who was at the Lions season opener together with Eminem and her family, had a lot on her hands with a wiggly toddler. On the recent episode of her podcast, she compared her experience with last year’s outings:
I was chasing around a toddler the entire time. Big change from last year. I looked back at pictures from one year ago of Elliot’s first game ever: a baby bottle, holding him with the little headphones on, napping part of it. Great, peaceful time. This time was great, but it was much more physically demanding for me. I was chasing him around. We did get like 30 minutes out of him where he was chilling, watching the game, surprisingly. The biggest fight that I really didn’t consider was keeping the headphones on him. I kept re-googling, like, does he still need to wear them? But how do you get a toddler to keep them on? Because as soon as I put them on, he just smacks them off or throws them. I was scared he was going to throw them over the edge.
So, that was lots of fun. Looked a lot different for me this year.
At his age every few weeks can bring something new. Elliot Marshall has just turned 18 months old. Judging by Hailie’s celebratory post, the boy is a handful, but she wouldn’t have had it any other way:
“my sweet silly adventurous boy is 18 months (yesterday) and i can’t believe it 😭 I’m so proud to be his mom”
