Denaun Porter has known Eminem for many, many years. He knows Marshall’s working style and can recognise when he is in the album cycle. And he does not have good news for fans. to fans waiting for a new album.
Mr. Porter joined The 3rd Verse Podcast for a full-length interview that covered so many topics that breaking it into segments won’t do it justice. However, some moments might be particularly interesting for Eminem fans. These are the moments when the hosts were fishing for information about Eminem’s next album. Quite early in the interview, Denaun confirms that Em has no shortage of material or intensity in his writing:
He writes more than anybody, bro. Nobody writes more than him. And I put my money on that every time, you know? Still to this day, he writes like he’s poor.
However, that does not answer the bigger question: is Eminem actually working on a new album? Denaun knows Eminem is working, but does not see the signs of an album coming together yet:
He’s never not working. He’s probably got too many songs right now. It ain’t like it forms an album or something like that. I know the feeling when he’s forming an album. No. I don’t know.
Patience is a virtue that many Eminem fans have mastered over the years. And it seems we’ll need more of that until Marshall decides that his new project is ready to see the light of day.
