Alaina Marie Moeller, nee Scott, has given birth to her daughter, adding another young member to Marshall’s family.
New life
In her Instagram post, Alaina announced Scottie’s arrival and explained the meaning behind the name:

welcome to the world my sweet darling🕊️
Scottie, in honor of my “scott sisters”. The women who have given the name and my life so much meaning. May she now give it a meaning of her own and always know how loved she is, by mom + dad, and her aunties”.
Family ties
Some media saw in the “scott sisters” reference a nod to Alaina’s biological mother, Dawn Scott, who struggled with addiction, and her twin sister, Kim Scott, Eminem’s ex-wife. And while this notion is certainly there, there might be more truth in the idea that “Scott sisters”, about whom Alaina talks with such warmth, are the girls she grew up with.
Marshall and Kim took Alaina in when Dawn was in a particularly difficult patch of her life, and later, Em adopted her legally. Just like he adopted Kim’s daughter, Whitney Scott, who we know as Stevie. All three siblings kept Scott as part of their family name. As sisters, they went through ups and downs. Still, they share this undeniable connection that is difficult to explain for those who haven’t experienced it.
The first to send best wishes online to his grandniece was Nathan Kane, Marshall’s younger brother, who is much closer in age to his nieces than to Em.
“Welcome a beautiful baby girl to the family 🩷 you guys are going to be great parents. You and Hailie are making me feel old now lol”, Nathan joked.
Hailie’s friend and podcast co-host Brittany joined in, sending an excited message: “congratulations!!! so happy for yall!”.
Welcome arrival
The rest of the family, as usual, preferred to stay away from the online spotlight. But there is no doubt that they were as close to the new mom as she wanted them to be. Given how tight the sisters’ bond is, it is safe to assume that Alaina and her newborn were wrapped in the family’s love.
Now, little Elliott Marshall has a little cousin, exactly one year and one month younger than he is. Hailie was talking on her podcast about how excited she is to have a niece, to have this special connection to a little girl in the family. Welcome to the world, Scottie Marie!
