British actress Sophie Turner has once again shown love for Eminem, this time on BBC Radio 6 Music. Best known for her role as Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, Turner named “Till I Collapse” as her ultimate go-to track for motivation.
“There is one song I kind of listen to for almost everything, any time I need to get pumped up and excited”, she said. “Which is ‘Till I Collapse’ by Eminem. That one really gets me going”.
That One Time She Rapped for Dave Grohl
Turner also recalled a moment she’d rather forget. Years ago, she rapped Eminem’s “The Real Slim Shady” on The Late Late Show with James Corden, while Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl was sitting right next to her.
“I could just see him out of the corner of my eye, so unimpressed”, she laughed. “He was like, ‘I’ve got to watch some girl from Game of Thrones try and rap Eminem’. So embarrassing”.
A Dream Meeting Still to Come
Although she has never met Eminem in person, Turner admitted she would love the chance. “He’s my hall pass. Marshall Mathers!” she joked during the BBC interview. She also reacted to the rapper’s more unusual merchandise, including bricks from his childhood home. Admittedly, she does not have one of those, but she has some stan items in her collection. Some time ago, she posted a photo of herself in a vintage 8 Mile t-shirt.
Karaoke Queen: Slim or Céline
Turner’s love for Eminem isn’t new. Last year, she revealed her go-to karaoke song: “‘The Real Slim Shady’ or Céline Dion’s ‘It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.’ Those are the only two legitimate answers. If anyone answers differently, it’s just wrong”.
Whether it’s for hype or for karaoke, Turner makes one thing clear—Eminem’s music is always on her playlist. And we can’t argue with that kind of taste.
