Eminem is making a major comeback on the UK YouTube Music Chart. After months dominated by KPop Demon Hunters, he is now just one spot away from reclaiming the crown.

Earlier this December, Eminem surged to No.3. A week later, he overtook Ed Sheeran and climbed to No.2, with 3.6 million weekly views. The only act ahead of him is KPop Demon Hunters Cast, who remain No.1 with just over 4 million views.

Taylor Swift follows closely behind at No.3, drawing 3.58 million views.

A Remarkable Chart Streak

Eminem’s chart run on YouTube is nothing short of historic. This is his 482nd consecutive week on the UK chart. Since YouTube launched its official music rankings, Eminem has never missed a week.

Moreover, for most of his time on the chart, he has spent in the Top 3, very often at No.1.

That level of consistency places him in rare company among global artists. Despite the constantly changing landscape of streaming and viewer preferences, Eminem’s catalogue continues to draw millions of UK fans.

YouTube Streams Count Toward UK Charts

Since January 2023, the Official Charts Company in the UK has started including video streams in its album and single calculations. Video streaming accounted for 6.7% of the total market back then, giving artists like Eminem an added boost. Now, the share has only got bigger.

While some question how these streams are weighted, the inclusion means that YouTube performance directly impacts Eminem’s chart rankings across platforms, not just on YouTube.

Meanwhile, the US Charts Will Ignore YouTube

Across the Atlantic, it’s a different story. YouTube recently pulled its data from Billboard, citing concerns over unfair treatment of ad-supported streams. The change will likely affect artists like Eminem, whose YouTube audience remains massive, especially among non-subscribers.

But in the UK, the system still counts those plays, giving Em the recognition he deserves and giving his fans something to celebrate. And if momentum continues, the No.1 spot may soon be his again.
