Eminem doesn’t step his foot on the Grammys red carpet, but the Grammys had to get his sneakers for its museum exhibition.
The GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles opened a special exhibition, “Hip-Hop America: The Mixtape Edition”, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of hip hop. Ne of the items is so special that it was put on display for press preview before the exhibition was even officially open.
This item is a pair of Air Jordan 3s worn by Eminem during his half-time performance at the Super Bowl LVI in 2022. It was a special collaboration between Eminem and Nike to mark that momentous ocassion.
They are showcased in a glass cube for visitors to see. Not the most obvious choice of an exhibit to demonstrate Marshall’s input to the hip hop culture, but certainly one of very expensive ones.
