In a recent interview, Fifty muses on the nature of friendship, the positive impact Marshall has left on the culture, and mutual loyalty.

The XXL magazine talked to the GRODT rapper over a video call, and Fif was relaxed talking about Marshall, a topic that comes up in every of his interviews. Fifty explained once again why Eminem’s race cannot negate the contribution he has made to hip hop,

Em… A lot of the talent, they don’t want to give him credit but a lot of consumer base opens up when they see themselves in it. It is black culture, black music but you can see multicultural people participating and becomes broad enough to be something more people appreciates and enjoys on the highest level. Eminem is big part of this. You have guys who impact in different ways, even Vanilla Ice had impact. But it wasn’t incredible, it was not home-grown incredible. Em is really from Detroit, he has had hardships and experiences. The difference is he’s from a trailer park, not from projects.

Another topic popular among journalists talking to 50 Cent is his relationship with Em. Why does he defends Eminem all the time? But how could he not?

I love him to death. That’s my boy. I care what happens. Em, Dre, Jimmy [Iovine], and Paul Rosenberg came to London, they came for my birthday to hang out Em is like… I don’t know, I put him next to my grandmother. I tell you why. Because there was never a point when I had confusion going on he wasn’t participating in it. Never. There was always a place where I could go and communicate or just talk to him and know that he has my best interest in heart. I think we give a title “friend” way too easy. These people you associate with and you know, and y’all got standings. But is this person your friend? Because if this person your friend – they have to have your best interest at heart. Everything you want for Because that’s gonna make your shine. yourself — they want it. People are coming to me to get to him. They say, “Hey, we have real money. He only has to work for three weeks, and he can work in Detroit”. I’m like, I’ll tell him, I’ll let him know. And when he says “No”, I’m like, I had to tell you so you’d say “No” to me. Because it’s real money. And the thing with a Super Bowl. See, they don’t understand the relationship, they were trying to get Em to the Super Bowl without me. And it won’t happen.

So, it does sound like Marshall was in London celebrating Fif’s birthday, had a great time, and didn’t have a single photo leaked to press.
