The end of 2019 brought triumphant news for some hip hop artists, upping the total number of rappers with Diamond certified records to six.
Now Drake, Post Malone, Wiz Khalifa, Macklemore and Fetty Wap all have one diamond single each. Eminem has three Diamond singles: “Lose Yourself”, “Love The Way You Lie (feat. Rihanna)” and “Not Afraid”. He also has two Diamond certified albums, “The Marshall Mathers LP” and “The Eminem Show”, the achievement that is still beyond the reach of other MCs.
However, Eminem leaves behind not only the artists of his own genre. With his five Diamond certificates, he is the only solo artist with the most number of diamond certifications in the history of music.
Not the most diamond certified music act, though, this record belongs to The Beatles with six (or even seven if we count their video boxset in) diamond certificates.
