MMLP 20th Anniversary: Chat With Eminem Fans

Two of Marshall’s songs almost simultaneously hit a new threshold of 400 million streams.

“The Way I Am” from “The Marshall Mathers LP” has become the 26th, and “Cleanin’ Out My Closet” from “The Eminem Show” the 27th of his songs across all credits to earn this milestone. They even gain a similar amount of Spotify streams daily, between 180 and 200 thousand.

Upon release in 2000, “The Way I Am” peaked at No. 58 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is now certified 2× Platinum in the US. Meanwhile, “Cleanin’ Out My Closet” reached No.4 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and became one of the highest-charting singles of Eminem’s career. It also has three RIAA Platinum certificates.
